MVA - I-87 NORTHBOUND
Tue. May 4th 2010

The Champlain Fire Department and Champlain EMS were dispatched to a Tractor Trailer accident on Interstate 87 just south of Exit 42 in the Northbound Lane.  A Tractor Trailer heading northbound crossed over the median and headed north in the southbound lane.  After crossing underneath a bridge overpass, the tractor trailer crossed the median a 2nd time coming to rest in the median with the cab hanging out into one of the northbound lanes.  No one was hurt in the accident and crews worked to control traffic flow and clean up a fuel leak coming from the truck.  Crews operated at the scene for approx. 2 hours.
